My First Home Scheme 2013 : Owning Your First Residential Property in Malaysia

My First Home Scheme 2013: The ‘Skim Rumah Pertamaku’ was first announced in the 2011 Malaysia Budget to assist young adults who have just joined the workforce to own their first home. The Scheme allows young adults to obtain 100% financing from financial institutions, enabling them to own their 1st home without needing to pay a 10% down payment.

What is My First Home Scheme 2013:

The scheme allows homebuyers to obtain 100% financing from participating banks, enabling them to own a home without having
the need to pay a 10% down payment. Cagamas SRP Berhad (CSRP) will guarantee the initial 10% of the loan under the scheme.


Eligibility Criteria of My First Home Scheme 2013:

– Malaysia Citizen up to 35 years old.

– First time house Buyer only.

– Individual borrowers having income up to RM5,000 per month or joint borrowers of up to RM10,000 per month (subject to individual borrower income not exceeding RM5,000 per month).


Property Criteria of My First Home Scheme 2013:

– Property in Malaysia with selling price ranging from RM100k (minimum) to Rm400k (maximum)

– The house purchased must be owner-occupied.

– Residential properties only.

– For leasehold houses, the remaining lease must be more than 60 years.
